DIN-ST (said like "dynasty") in his solo debut 12inch on kool.POP recordings, after his contribution on the hard-to-get "SweatÖ That Kool Itís Hot" 12inch compilation (rumour goes that someone paid 200 british pounds on ebay for that...). However: DIN-ST is previously also known as DJ MAXXIMUS (on Warp Records), as the producer behind the Digital Hardcore hiphop outfit FEVER, and did solo appearances on DJ SCUD's Ambush Records and the SCHAEBEN & VOSS imprint Firm Records. Anyway, DIN-ST is slicing his way through Berlin's clubland with style. Along with acts like AEOX, SMITHíNíHACK and others, DIN-ST is a seminal part of the jacking Berlin scene packing dancefloors with his laptop vs turntable attack. DIN-ST gives 'tough and experimental' an all new skin ñ hacking up hip hop, 2step, ragga, tek and breakcore, then injecting the reconstructed sounds with bass and bleeps. DIN-ST released this year already 12inches on Null Records and Tresor Berlin (with a full length album in the pipeline), followed by a double 12inch album/compact disc on Miami imprint Schematic this summer. His 'Ladycracker E.P.' on kool.POP is a multi-directional piece of vinyl, the one which lets the ladies crack, but presents also a very modern underground dance soundÖ" i can only add that this record realy does it !
